Pearl Santich, (nee Kral) age 96, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years and love of her life, George, and her son, David. She is survived by her son, Richard and his wife, Paula Smith; her granddaughter, Katherine Scarcella; and her great-granddaughters, Abigail and Haley Scarcella. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Adelaide Sangiorgi.
Pearl was a member of the United Methodist Church of Kent after memberships in Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Warrensville Heights and Broadway United Methodist Church in Cleveland.
Pearl’s voice was her gift that she shared by singing for many years at the churches she attended, at weddings and other life celebrations, at Cain Park Theater and at numerous other occasions. Early in her career, she was proud to be one of the first women at Mather College to earn a Masters’ Degree in Hearing and Speech. She went on to teach deaf children. Pearl and George enjoyed traveling and visited numerous countries. They made friends easily and cherished those friendships. Hers was a life well lived.
Family and Friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OHIO 44141 on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 9-11 am. A private family interment will be held at Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. Memorials in Pearl's name are suggested to the Tuesday Morning Men's Group at the United Methodist Church of Kent, 1435 E. Main St., Kent, Ohio 44240.
