Judith Ann Nouzak

JUDITH "JUDY" ANN NOUZAK
age 73, born June 20, 1948, passed away June 20, 2021. Judy, lifelong Brecksville resident, was a Girl Scout, Scout Counselor and leader of several troops. She is survived by many friends and scouts from her troops. Judy served as the leader for a council-wide outdoor troop of high school students who became particularly close friends. Some of her "girls" adopted and nick named her "Mommie", staying close and as families grew, their children in turn referred to her as "Grandmommie".  Since 1982 they have gathered at least once a year with all of their families to spend a long weekend celebrating their friendship.
She also worked with the Girl Scouts in their archives, sang in the community chorus and volunteered as a driver for the senior center, organized their volunteer tea (with fabulous flower arrangements), and entertained all with her hilarious hats.
Judy was the Brecksville Children's Librarian for more than 30 years.  She introduced many children to a love of reading through her puppet shows, storytelling and book recommendations.
Judy was a friend to many and encouraged, supported, and gave freely to her friends and community. She was a talented crafter, singer and miniaturist who loved to travel.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., followed by a brief burial service at Brecksville Cemetery. Those who wish can make donations to their favorite charity in Judy's name.
