Kathleen "Kiti" Taylor Obituary

Kathleen "Kiti" M. Taylor (Wiencek), age 82 passed away peacefully on October 9, 2021 at home surrounded by family. Kiti is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald. She was born to Frank Wiencek and Victoria (Macuga) on May 22, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Since an early age, Kiti was an amazing artist in the mediums of drawing, painting and photography. She spent many hours landscaping and gardening. Kiti enjoyed cooking for her family and friends creating dishes from scratch and always keeping her recipes to herself.

Kiti and Don shared many adventures including a cross country trip by van visiting most of the lower forty-eight states. Kiti enjoyed sailing the Great Lakes on Foul Play, the family sailboat and eating her favorite boat meal, fried chicken, during the summer months.

Kiti appreciated all genres of music especially classical and attending the Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall and Blossom Music Center. An adventurous young girl, Kiti sneaked out of her parent's house with her favorite cousin to attend Alan Freed's Moondog Coronation Ball.

Later, Kiti attended multiple concerts with her children including Lenny Kravitz, Rolling Stones and Neal Young. Kiti preferred spending time with family at home playing Scrabble and Munchkins while enjoying a few glasses of wine.

Kiti was preceded in death by her son Christopher and is survived by brothers, Raymond and Jerome; children, Scott, Christina and Paul (Lori); grandchildren, Brandy, Meriah, Angela, Hanah, Ryan, Adrian, Curtis, Renee and Corinne; great-grandchildren, Dawson, Karder, Laiken, Matthew and Kennedy; and beloved dog Kara.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Kiti's memory to the American Cancer Society. If you find yourself at Furnace Run Metropark in Richfield, please stop by at the memorial bench in her and Don's name near the lake and think of Kiti.
