Mary (Grivich) Maloney

Mary Maloney (nee Grivich) Jan. 10, 1932-Apr. 14, 2020. Beloved wife for 44 years of the late Robert Michael. Cherished mother of Tammy Kline (Kenneth) and Michael (Jean). Loving and loved grandmother of Brett and Kara Maloney and Robin Kline. Blessed with sisters and brothers-in-law, Madeline Stimac (Charles, deceased), Ann Sudbay (Robert) (both deceased) and Manda (deceased as baby). Lovingly a part of extended families of nephews and nieces: Charles Stimac (Mary Claire), Madeline Liss (Eugene), Susan DiRando (Jesse), Amy Witte (Michael), Robert Sudbay (Donna), and Stephen Sudbay (Patty). Great nieces: Amanda Stimac, Beth Pagan, Courtney Gomez, Katelyn Maurer and Lydia DePauw. Great nephews: John and Stephen Liss, Scott Arden and Bobby, Trevor and Tyler Sudbay. Great-great aunt of 10. Mary was a proud graduate of South High class of June 1950, Ohio State University with a BS in Ed and Kent State University with a MA in Library Science. Her first teaching job was at South High in 1955 and her career ended with the Parma City School District in 1986. She taught English at Pleasant Valley Jr. High and served as librarian/media specialist at Hillside Jr. High, Shiloh Jr. High and Parma Senior High School. Upon retirement, she was co-owner of Meanne's Wedding Elegance, taught 7th grade PSR at Assumption for 15 years and was active at Assumption in sewing for children of Haiti and in other ministries. Our family is grateful for the help given by neighbors Pete and Lorraine Lewinski and many friends of Assumption. In lieu of flowers, her memory may be commemorated with a donation to Church of the Assumption (with Haiti noted on the check) 9183 Broadview Rd., Broadview Hts., OH 44147.

A Public Drive-Thru visitation will be held at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 from 5-7 pm. A Private family Mass will be held at Church of the Assumption followed by private burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. A Public Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
