Robert Miedl

Robert J. Miedl, age 83, longtime Independence resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Renaissance of Richfield on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.  Beloved husband of Sue A. Miedl (nee Nau) for 41 years.  Loving father of Linda Packard, Thomas Miedl (Kristin), and David Miedl (Britt).  Devoted grandfather of Laura, Justin, and Allison.  Cherished great grandfather of Adyson and Calvin.  Dear brother of George Miedl and Elaine Ward; caring uncle, neighbor and friend to many.  Bob is also survived by Sues children and grandchildren.

Bob owned and operated several bicycle shops.  He worked and retired from Republic/LTV Steel. He enjoyed boating, fishing, cars, motorcycles, and his dogs.  Bob served as a Mason in the Theodore Breck Lodge in Brecksville.

No services are scheduled at this time.  Interment at Mapleshade Cemetery in Independence.
