Valerie Ann (Stodnick) Kahoe

Valerie Kahoe, 51, of Brecksville, passed away on November 14th, after a 6-month valiant battle with Bile Duct cancer. She died surrounded by her life's vocation, her three children, and was without pain.

Valerie is preceded in death by her grandparents John and Mae Stodnick, Joseph and Julie Lonzack, and her uncle Dale Stodnick. She is survived by her children Jacob (Jake), Michael (Mikey), and Kelsey Kahoe, her parents Marge and Greg Stodnick, and her two brothers Tim and Michael Stodnick. 

Born and raised in Brecksville, Valerie attended Assumption Catholic and Brecksville High School, before graduating from Baldwin Wallace University. Valerie's children were very dear to her. She prioritized them over everything else. She loved attending Jake and Mikey's football games, and adored watching Kelsey cheer. As her children went off to school, Valerie transitioned into a Kentucky, Alabama and Case Western fan.

Valerie loved to travel with her friends and children. Together they visited Europe, Alaska, and many other parts of the world. In total, Valerie was able to see 30 countries. As her time neared, she would often mention that she preferred quality over quantity. She exemplified this in the way she lived, and she was able to pass knowing that she made the most of her time.

Valerie was taken from us too soon, but there was something telling her to prepare for it. Her future grandchildren had rooms of toys filled up before her own kids even hit puberty. She left room in her will for her closest friends to take a "Valerie trip". Her legacy will forever live on. She will be missed dearly.

Friends will be received at Nosek-McCreery Funeral Home, 8150 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, Ohio on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 2-6 pm. Valerie's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, Ohio on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 10 am (Everyone please meet at church).
